Can my family stay with me at the Shove House?
The Shove House is for individuals with a chemical dependency or mental health disorder. We do allow family to visit during business hours. However, they are not permitted to stay at The Shove House.
Can anyone who is homeless stay at The Shove House?
Because The Shove House is a therapeutic housing facility and not a shelter, individuals staying at The Shove House must have a diagnosed mental health or chemical dependency disorder, and be enrolled in corresponding treatment through Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare.
Do I have to be a client at Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare in order to live at The Shove House?
Yes. Residents must commit to a personal Recovery Strategy while residing at The Shove House. Tenants are active participants in the development and articulation of their personalized Recovery Strategy. Residents will be required to meet with a case manager on a regular basis.
